Photography, websites and the systems behind them — for any business, from the first shot to the last sign-off. One brief, one person, one invoice.

How it fits together

Five stages,
one operator.

Most businesses end up with a photographer, a web agency, an SEO contractor and an IT person who have never spoken to each other. This is all of it, in order, from one desk.

01

Imagery

Photograph what you sell and who you are — product, people, workplace. Everything downstream needs these first.

02

Website

The site those pictures live in. Built by hand, not assembled from a template you share with four competitors.

03

Commerce & search

Storefront, local SEO, analytics. The part that turns a visitor into an enquiry you can answer.

04

Systems

Integrations, automation and the machinery behind the front end — right up to industrial control.

05

Support

Hosting, updates and one number to call. Nothing gets handed to a stranger after launch.

Websites & e-commerce

Built to be found,
and to convert.

Custom builds in React, Next.js, Shopify and WordPress, with the local SEO groundwork that gets them found. If I shot your products too, they arrive already sized and compressed for the template.

Industrial automation

The machinery
behind it.

The day job, and the reason the rest is run the way it is. PLC and SCADA engineering for heavy industry — loop tuning, alarm rationalisation, controller migrations, and the reporting layer that turns process data into something a manager can read.

  • PLC programming & migration
  • SCADA / HMI development
  • Control loop tuning
  • Alarm rationalisation

On-call support — one number, an agreed response time

On-call support

Nothing gets
handed to a stranger.

A site that goes down on a Friday night is down all weekend. Support plans give you one number, a response time agreed in writing, and the person who actually built the thing rather than whoever's free.

  • Agreed response times
  • Business, extended or 24/7
  • Hosting, SSL & backups
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Content updates

Max Krause

Behind it

Max Krause

I'm a control systems engineer by trade, and a photographer and web developer by choice. That combination is unusual, and it's the whole point: the same discipline that keeps a plant running is what keeps a website fast and a shoot on schedule.

Working with me means one person holds the whole thing. The photographer knows what the template needs. The developer knows what the store has to do. Nobody is waiting on anybody else's contractor, and nothing falls between two invoices.

Based in Bathurst, working across the Central West and travelling for shoots and site work.

How the work runs

Same four steps,
whichever job.

A website, a shoot and a control system are different jobs with the same shape. Agree the scope, write it down, build it, hand it over properly.

01

Scope

We work out what you actually need, what it costs and when it lands. No discovery theatre, no surprise line items.

02

Spec

Wireframes, a shot list or a functional description — whatever the job calls for, written down and agreed before work starts.

03

Build

Code, shoot or commission. You see progress while it happens, on a staging link or a proof gallery, not in one reveal at the end.

04

Handover

Deployed, delivered or signed off, with documentation and support that doesn't expire the week after launch.

The Central West

Local, and glad of it.

Australia's first payable gold was struck at Ophir, just up the road. I work with businesses right across the region — from Mount Panorama to the Macquarie.
